General Conference Inspiration

Today I spent a few minutes before General Conference teaching Jacob how to take "Cornell Notes"  hoping that he could practice more effective notetaking skills during Conference to apply the skill in school. I'm afraid it didn't yield much results for him, because he only made it through one talk, but it definitely helped me to be more focused and inspired as I listened to each talk.

I love the idea mentioned Laurel Day of calendering spiritual to do's (like scripture study, FHE, etc.) so we are more likely to make them happen.  After attending countless meetings where I have spurts of inspiration that I jot down notes for but then forget in a closed notebook and fail to act on them.  I plan to "schedule" a different action each week so that I actually follow through with the impressions I received.
