New Car for College

Rebecca is probably my most frugal child.  She started thinking and writing about "saving for college" when she was in grade school and all of her penny pinching has paid off.  Fortunately her diligence earned her a full tuition scholarship so she was able to buy her first car with cash and pay for the yearly insurance fees upfront.
But even after she bought her car she was trying to keep saving money by riding her bike to work if the weather was decent.  I did a cost calculation and let her know that if she really wants to save 35 cents in gas for the round trip cost of getting to work she can keep riding the bike... but I would definitely not be that motivated!
